It\u2019s the sixth time MSP has received the title in the past seven years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MSP earned the ASQ Award for Best Airport in North America\nfor the 25-40 million passenger category for 2022, after receiving the same\nhonor in 2021. MSP was also named Best in North America for four straight years\nbetween 2016-2019, earning placement on the ACI Director General\u2019s Roll of\nExcellence in Airport Service Quality in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/MSP-23-Award-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25115\" width=\"344\" height=\"186\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/MSP-23-Award-edit.jpg 650w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/MSP-23-Award-edit-300x163.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 344px) 100vw, 344px\" \/><figcaption><em>Terminal 1 Ticketing Lobby at MSP Airport\/MAC. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor MSP to be recognized by our travelers as one of the\nbest in the world year after year is a testament to our focus on providing\nexceptional airport experiences so Minnesota thrives,\u201d said Brian Ryks, CEO of\nthe Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), which operates MSP. \u201cOur entire MSP\nAirport community \u2013 including MAC commissioners and staff, federal agencies,\nairlines, concessionaires, tenants, Airport Foundation MSP and the Armed Forces\nService Center \u2013 shares a commitment to creating an excellent customer service\nculture at every touchpoint of a passenger\u2019s journey through MSP.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ASQ awards were based on 465,000 traveler surveys at\nairports in more than 90 countries during 2022. The surveys cover 30 key\nindicators that define a passenger\u2019s overall experience, including the ease of\nfinding their way through the airport, check-in, security, cleanliness,\nshopping and dining. Nearly 400 airports participate in the program, and more\nthan half of the world\u2019s travelers passed through an ASQ airport last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPutting the traveler at the center is more important than\never, and it is the way forward,\u201d said Luis Felipe de Oliveira, Director\nGeneral of ACI World. \u201cWe are proud of the team at Minneapolis-St. Paul\nInternational Airport for winning the Best Airport in North America. This shows\nthat the whole airport community has come together to put the passenger first.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MSP is the 16th busiest airport in North America based on\npassengers. In 2022, MSP served a total of 31.2 million passengers, an increase\nof 24% from 2021.
