The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) has announced\nthat Ken Thompson has been promoted to full-time Managing Director of\nRegulatory Affairs and industry expert Paige Kroner has joined the NATA team as\nSenior Advisor, Industry Relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Thompson\u2019s role as Managing Director of Regulatory\nAffairs, he will lead NATA\u2019s efforts to ensure efficient and effective Safety\nManagement System (SMS) implementation across the industry, address security\nconcerns as new technology emerges, support workforce recruitment efforts, and\neducate the industry on efforts to combat illegal charter activities, among\nother priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thompson previously served as NATA\u2019s Senior Advisor,\nRegulatory Affairs (Maintenance), where he acted as staff liaison for NATA\u2019s\nAircraft Maintenance and Systems Technology (AMST) Committee and as a\nrecognized observer on the Part 145 Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee\n(ARAC) Working Group. He is a certificated Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic and\nhas served as an Aircraft Mechanic\/Inspector (A&P\/IA), Quality Control\nInspector, Quality Assurance Manager, Chief Inspector, Designated Manufacturing\nInspection Representative (DMIR), and Senior Manager in manufacturing and\nmaintenance facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKen\u2019s more than 49 years of aviation experience, including\nnearly three decades as an FAA Aviation Safety Inspector, are invaluable to\nNATA\u2019s efforts to find solutions, address challenges, and leverage\nopportunities related to aviation safety, security, operational efficiencies,\nand workforce acquisition and development,\u201d stated NATA President and CEO Curt\nCastagna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paige Kroner<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Paige Kroner will assist the NATA team with industry\noutreach, event execution, and member relations. Kroner has worked for noted\naviation companies Piedmont-Hawthorne Aviation, Chantilly Air, and Signature\nFlight Support, as well as trade associations American Association of Airport\nExecutives (AAAE) and National Business Aviation Association (NBAA). As NBAA\u2019s\nCentral Eastern Regional Representative, she oversaw outreach to the business\naviation community and grassroots programs in her nine-state territory to\nensure the safety, efficiency, and acceptance of business aviation. Kroner has\nalso served as FBO Duty Manager at Washington Dulles International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
