{"id":25018,"date":"2023-03-06T17:08:21","date_gmt":"2023-03-06T17:08:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=25018"},"modified":"2023-03-06T17:10:50","modified_gmt":"2023-03-06T17:10:50","slug":"braa-receives-corporate-community-service-award-for-its-commitment-to-local-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/florida\/braa-receives-corporate-community-service-award-for-its-commitment-to-local-education\/%20","title":{"rendered":"BRAA Receives Corporate Community Service Award for Its Commitment to Local Education"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Photo above &#8211; L-R: Georgia Williams, Scott Kohut \u2013 Deputy Director Boca Raton Airport Authority, Clara Bennett \u2013 Executive Director Boca Raton Airport Authority, Lisa Kaufman &#8211; Vice-Chair of the Board of the George Snow Scholarship Fund, and Tim Snow \u2013 President of the George Snow Scholarship Fund.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Boca Raton Airport Authority (BRAA) has been awarded the\nCorporate Community Service Award by the George Snow Scholarship Fund, honoring\nthe airport\u2019s commitment and contributions to the students of Palm Beach\nCounty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The George Snow Scholarship Fund is a non-profit\norganization that provides financial aid and resources to students pursuing\nhigher education in Palm Beach County, and a stated mission to \u201censure that no\nstudent is deprived of an education.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Corporate Community Service Award is presented to\norganizations and businesses that have strongly demonstrated a similar\ndedication to local students, through both their independent community\ninitiatives as well as in support of the George Snow Scholarship Fund itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BRAA has been a long-time supporter of the Scholarship\nFund and its noble mission and was grateful for the recognition signified by\nthe award. &#8220;We are honored to receive the Corporate Community Service\nAward from the George Snow Scholarship Fund,&#8221; said Clara Bennett, the\nExecutive Director of the BRAA. &#8220;We are committed to making a positive\nimpact on the lives of students in our community and will continue to support\nthis wonderful organization to help make college dreams a reality for our local\nstudents.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to their contributions and support of the George\nSnow Scholarship Fund, the BRAA established the Boca Raton Airport Scholarship\nin 2017, which provides financial aid to Palm Beach County students pursuing\ncareers in aviation and aerospace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award was presented at the &#8220;2023 Rhinestone Cowboy\u201d\nBall, a country-themed fundraising event, which featured \u2013 among a variety of\ncowboy boots and rhinestone-studded ballroom attire \u2013 live entertainment, an\nauction of exclusive VIP experiences, a $5,000 raffle, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most significantly, the successful event provided an\nopportunity for the community to come together and celebrate a cause close to\nthe hearts of many of Palm Beach residents: helping the future leaders of South\nFlorida achieve their academic ambitions and professional potential.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Photo above &#8211; L-R: Georgia Williams, Scott Kohut \u2013 Deputy Director Boca Raton Airport Authority, Clara Bennett \u2013 Executive Director Boca Raton Airport Authority, Lisa Kaufman &#8211; Vice-Chair of the Board of the George Snow Scholarship Fund, and Tim Snow \u2013 President of the George Snow Scholarship Fund.
