Interestingly, while AutoFlight\u2019s Gen4 aircraft is fitted with the\nlatest in state-of-the-art avionics, the aircraft also ran third-party avionics\nto record and verify the distance flown on ForeFlight, an independent system\nwidely used in the aviation sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The flight is recognized as the longest fully electric\naircraft flight in history, where the aircraft both takes off and lands\nvertically. This long-range test flight is a key milestone in the development\nof the Prosperity I aircraft, as it undergoes continued testing towards the\ncompany\u2019s goal of airworthiness certification in 2025 with EASA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/AutoFlight_Omer-Bar-Yohay-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24988\" width=\"243\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/AutoFlight_Omer-Bar-Yohay-edit.jpg 800w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/AutoFlight_Omer-Bar-Yohay-edit-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 243px) 100vw, 243px\" \/><figcaption><em>Omer Bar-Yohay<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>AutoFlight\u2019s president Omer Bar-Yohay commented, \u201cThis\nflight is both a great celebratory milestone, and a testament to the team&#8217;s\nincredible effort and progress in testing and incrementally pushing the\naircraft&#8217;s performance envelope. It&#8217;s a remarkable achievement that shows our\naircraft&#8217;s capability, and we are excited to continue working towards our next\ngoals all the way to EASA certification in 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aircraft used in this record flight is the world\u2019s first\nlook at AutoFlight\u2019s newest Generation 4 model, which was penned by legendary\ndesigner Frank Stephenson. Frank\u2019s vehicle design portfolio includes iconic\nsuccesses from brands including Ferrari, Maserati, McLaren, MINI and now\nAutoFlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AutoFlight\u2019s Prosperity aircraft is a state-of-the-art electric aircraft that uses rotors to lift the aircraft vertically for takeoff, then transitions to horizontal flight on the wing (like a traditional airplane).
