Collins Aerospace is a leader in\ntechnologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and\ndefense industry and a Raytheon Technologies business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lilium Jet inceptors will provide safe and intuitive\nhandling qualities, easy access to functionalities, and an aesthetic, ergonomic\ndesign. While integrating all conventional mechanical and electrical flight\ncontrols into two sidesticks, the Collins Aerospace system brings a new\npiloting philosophy for single pilot operations in the eVTOL realm. The system\nwill also be designed to bring significant space and weight savings compared to\nconventional sidesticks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lilium\u2019s collaboration with Collins Aerospace continues\nLilium\u2019s strategy of teaming up with established tier one aerospace suppliers\nto support certification and prepare the industrial ramp-up. As part of the\nsupplier agreement, Collins Aerospace, with its extensive experience in\ndeveloping and certifying inceptors for commercial jets, will certify the\nLilium Jet\u2019s inceptors to commercial aviation standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yves Yemsi, Chief Operating Officer at Lilium, said: \u201cOur\npartnership with Collins Aerospace allows us to reap the benefit of five\ndecades of experience in flight deck controls.
