{"id":24915,"date":"2023-02-27T01:02:25","date_gmt":"2023-02-27T01:02:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=24915"},"modified":"2023-02-27T01:04:22","modified_gmt":"2023-02-27T01:04:22","slug":"aopa-recognizes-excellence-in-flight-training-through-2023-flight-training-experience-regional-winners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/aviation-education\/aopa-recognizes-excellence-in-flight-training-through-2023-flight-training-experience-regional-winners\/%20","title":{"rendered":"AOPA Recognizes Excellence in Flight Training through 2023 Flight Training Experience Regional Winners"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Of the thousands of submissions AOPA received for the 2023\nFlight Training Experience Survey, six flight schools and six flight\ninstructors have been tapped as the best in their region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the regional winners, 32 flight schools and\n65 instructors have earned distinguished awards.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the regional winners, one flight school and one flight instructor will be recognized as the nation\u2019s best, announced at <a href=\"https:\/\/migration.redbirdflight.com\/\">Redbird Migration<\/a>, a flight training conference hosted April 11 and 12 at the EAA Education Center in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey polls student pilots, new pilots, and pilots who\nare pursuing additional training. AOPA is looking for feedback about the\nquality of a student\u2019s flight training and flight instruction experience. It\u2019s\nan opportunity for students to highlight where instruction was successful and\nwhere flight schools might need to make improvements.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSuccessful flight training is about more than just learning\nto fly. Building a sense of community to support the people who are learning\ntakes the experience to a much higher level where they can excel. This year\u2019s\ninstructors and schools have clearly brought their customers into the pilot\ncommunity,\u201d said AOPA Foundation Senior Director of Flight Training Education\nChris Moser. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Performance is evaluated in four key factors: educational\nquality, customer focus, community, and information sharing. The flight schools\nand instructors ranked the highest are awarded as the best in their region,\nwith survey scores adjusted using statistical measures so smaller flight\nschools remain competitive. Schools and instructors are given access to a\ncustomer feedback report of survey results so that they can celebrate positive\nfeedback and address constructive criticism.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The AOPA <a href=\"https:\/\/youcanfly.aopa.org\/?_ga=2.135312692.461041099.1676295687-101095203.1656101087\">You Can Fly<\/a> team has been sourcing feedback and awarding excellence in flight training since 2012.
