In addition, Piper\nincorporated innovative updates to their flagship aircraft, the M600\/SLS, and\nprovided support to more than 25 philanthropic organizations that best embody\nthe company\u2019s values and mission. In 2023, Piper continues to see backlog for\nthe M-Class lineup deep into 2024 and trainer aircraft reaching into 2025 and\nbeyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The M-Class product line includes the turbocharged and\npressurized piston M350, the entry-level M500 turboprop, and the M600\/SLS,\nfeaturing the HALO Safety System with Garmin Autoland. In total, 69 M-Class\naircraft were delivered over the course of the year. This includes 19 M350s, 9\nM500s, and 41 M600\/SLSs, 43 of which were delivered domestically and 26\ninternationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/M350.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24906\"\/><figcaption><em>M350<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In the trainer lineup\u2014including the diverse Archer family\n(Archer DX, DLX, LX, and TX), the value-priced Pilot 100i, and the multi-engine\nSeminole\u2014Piper delivered 167 total aircraft, with 150 delivered domestically\nand 17 internationally. Piper saw existing flight school customers grow their\nfleet, such as ATP Flight School, Spartan College, and American Flyers, as well\nas welcomed new customers to the Piper Flight School Alliance, including Thrust\nFlight and Fly Gateway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGrowth in our two primary aircraft markets is of paramount\nimportance to Piper Aircraft,\u201d said Piper President and Chief Executive Officer\nJohn Calcagno. \u201cDespite the supply chain and labor challenges our industry\nfaced this year, we were still able to deliver our aircraft as promised, create\nvaluable enhancements across our product lineup, and pass these improvements to\nour Piper dealer partner network and retail customers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Product highlights included the M600\/SLS receiving FAA\napproval on a Master Minimum Equipment List (MMEL), defining an easier pathway\nto enter the aircraft into Part 135 charter service. The M600\/SLS also gained\nunpaved field approval in Q4 of 2022, expanding the value of an already capable\naircraft. Together with these improvements, Piper Aircraft announced their\ncollaboration with CAE to engineer an electric PA-28-181 Archer Supplemental\nType Certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/M600-w-HALO-2edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24908\" width=\"270\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/M600-w-HALO-2edit.jpg 400w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/M600-w-HALO-2edit-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 270px) 100vw, 270px\" \/><figcaption><em>M600<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking into 2023, Piper will be first to market with\nexciting new innovations in G3000 software on the M600\/SLS, which were\npreviewed at NBAA-BACE in Orlando, FL at the end of 2022. Piper also recently\nannounced the integration of an Agile Manufacturing Robot to the PA-46\nproduction line to elevate efficiency and safety throughout the Piper factory\nin Vero Beach, FL.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to meeting the demands of the 2022 delivery\nschedule, Piper Aircraft saw success in other elements of the year, focused on\nour customers and the community. One of these efforts was the inclusion of two\nnew flight schools to the highly successful Piper Brand Ambassador program, the\nL3 Harris Flight Academy, and long-standing Piper fleet customer, North Star\nAviation of Minnesota State University at Mankato.
