As of February 1, 2023, he will\noversee the technical management of the young aircraft manufacturer\u2019s two\nflagship programs: the STERNA modular hybrid propulsion system and the\nhybrid-electric VTOL aircraft ATEA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This aeronautical engineer from ISAE-ENSMA also holds a PhD\nin turbulence modelling from SUPAERO\/ONERA. He was previously SVP Engineering\nand Head of Design Organization of French-Italian aircraft manufacturer ATR,\nwhich he joined in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before being appointed by ATR, he had been in various\nleading positions at Airbus for 16 years. He first headed the Aerodynamic\nMethods and A350 Flight Dynamics teams before leading the A30X Flight Physics\nand Flight Dynamics integrated team. He also defined products evolution,\nmultidisciplinary methods and technology in R&amp;T Programs for 4 years, as\nhead of Overall aircraft Design, encompassing flight physics, engine, Flight\nTest Bed and Methods and Tools perimeter. He was the A320 incremental\ndevelopment chief Engineer before joining ATR. He holds several patents in the\naerospace field and has published several technical articles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His technical knowledge, 360\u00c2\u00b0 integration skills and wide\nexperience in all segments of aviation, paired with his comprehensive understanding\nof the aeronautical market will be key to the development and promotion of\nAscendance Flight Technologies\u2019 sustainable flight solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>St\u00e9phane Viala &#8211; Director of Engineering &amp; Program: \u00c2\u00abI\nam excited to be part of such an innovative and differentiating project.
