She was hired as State Airports Manager for the Oregon\nDepartment of Transportation in 1997 and was appointed by the Oregon Governor\nto head the newly formed Oregon Department of Aviation in 1998 when it became a\nstandalone agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her career, Richart has managed a number of airports\nincluding Hutchinson Municipal Airport in Kansas, Klamath Falls Airport in\nOregon, Elmira Corning Regional Airport in New York and Martha\u2019s Vineyard\nAirport in Massachusetts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor many years I\u2019ve been interested in sustainability,\nparticularly in aviation,\u201d said Richart. \u201cWashington has demonstrated their\nleadership in this area.
