{"id":24793,"date":"2023-02-13T19:59:47","date_gmt":"2023-02-13T19:59:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=24793"},"modified":"2023-02-13T19:59:48","modified_gmt":"2023-02-13T19:59:48","slug":"commercial-drone-alliance-welcomes-a-new-slate-of-officers-in-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/unmanned-systems\/commercial-drone-alliance-welcomes-a-new-slate-of-officers-in-2023\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Commercial Drone Alliance Welcomes a New Slate of Officers in 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Commercial Drone Alliance (CDA), an independent 501c6\nnon-profit organization led by key members of the commercial drone industry,\nannounced recently the appointment of a new slate of officers to lead the CDA\nin 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;These industry\nleaders will work collectively with federal policymakers and industry\nstakeholders to reduce barriers and enable the expansion of the commercial uncrewed\naircraft systems (UAS or drone) and advanced air mobility (AAM) industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The 2023 Officers of\nthe CDA are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Co-Chair Margaret Nagle, Head of Policy and\nGovernment Affairs of Wing<\/li><li>Co-Chair Brendan Groves, Vice President of\nRegulatory and Policy Affairs of Skydio, Inc.<\/li><li>Vice Chair Okeoma Moronu, Head of Aviation\nRegulatory and Legal Affairs of Zipline<\/li><li>President Ken Stewart, President and CEO of\nNUAIR<\/li><li>Vice President Neta Gliksman, Vice President\nPolicy &amp; Government Affairs of Percepto<\/li><li>Treasurer James Grimsley, Executive Director for\nAdvanced Technology Initiatives of Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;There is an incredible amount of enthusiasm\nsurrounding commercial drone technology &#8211; and for a good reason,&#8221; said Ms.\nNagle. &#8220;This technology can bring a lot of benefits to communities, and\nCDA is playing a critical part in ensuring a regulatory and policy framework is\nin place to accelerate its implementation.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;CDA has long been the leading voice of the U.S. drone\nindustry,&#8221; said Mr. Groves. &#8220;As our membership grows, our voice will\nbe stronger and louder than ever. We look forward to partnering with policy\nmakers to unlock the value of drones and enable U.S. leadership in a new era of\naviation.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Commercial drones offer significant lifesaving,\neconomic and societal benefits-from creating jobs and enhancing worker safety,\nto protecting the environment and revolutionizing inspections of critical\ninfrastructure, to expanding equitable and efficient access to medicines, to\ngenerating tremendous economic value and facilitating commercial deliveries, to\nenhancing public safety and fighting wildfires,&#8221; stated Lisa Ellman, CDA&#8217;s\nExecutive Director. &#8220;Now more than ever, full integration of drones safely\nand securely into the National Airspace System is critical to unlocking these\ncrucial benefits for all Americans.
