{"id":24717,"date":"2023-02-06T15:56:33","date_gmt":"2023-02-06T15:56:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=24717"},"modified":"2023-02-06T17:27:58","modified_gmt":"2023-02-06T17:27:58","slug":"faa-acting-administrator-visits-archer-hq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/front-page-slider\/faa-acting-administrator-visits-archer-hq\/%20","title":{"rendered":"FAA Acting Administrator Visits Archer HQ"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Photo above &#8211; FAA Acting Administrator, Bill Nolen sits in Archer&#8217;s simulator. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can\u2019t electrify (aviation), until you certify (your\naircraft with the FAA), which is why a recent visit to Archer HQ by FAA Acting\nAdministrator, Billy Nolen, and Director of Certification, Lirio Liu, along\nwith others from the FAA was a noteworthy event on Archer\u2019s path to\ncommercializing their Midnight aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The half-day visit included discussions about how they plan\nto safely integrate their eVTOL aircraft into the National Airspace System, their\nplans for aircraft manufacturing, a tour of their facilities and a\ndemonstration of their aircraft flight simulator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were a few key takeaways from the meeting for the\nArcher team:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A Top Three Priority | The FAA&#8217;s leaders\nreiterated that the safe integration of eVTOL aircraft into the national\nairspace is a top three priority to ensure the U.S. continues to lead the world\nin aerospace innovation<\/li><li>2025 is the Target | Safely integrating eVTOL\naircraft into the national airspace in 2025 is the target we\u2019re collectively\nworking toward together<\/li><li>eVTOL Aircraft Taking Center Stage at 2028\nOlympics | Ensuring eVTOL aircraft are operating, at scale, in time for the\n2028 Olympics in LA is a key outcome the FAA and Archer are focused on<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>From the day the Wright Flyer took flight in Kitty Hawk, NC\nback in 1903, the U.S. has led the world in aviation innovation. eVTOL aircraft\nrepresent the next frontier of innovation for the aviation industry and present\nhuge potential upside for consumers as well as the U.S. economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Archer said they\u2019ve made it a point from day one to work\ncollaboratively with the FAA and are excited about their progress toward\nensuring the U.S. continues to lead the charge in bringing a safer, quieter,\nmore accessible and sustainable form of transportation to market in 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Photo above &#8211; FAA Acting Administrator, Bill Nolen sits in Archer&#8217;s simulator.
