The vertiport is\nexpected to be operational later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Volatus has a modular designed vertiport which allows for\nquick on-site construction as well as scalable growth to expand with the\nAdvanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry as it grows. Bellefonte Airport will start\nwith the vertiport and a single landing pad with charging station with the\nability to scale up to eight landing pads with charging stations as the need\nfor additional space grows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA project that started out as a way to get fans to Penn\nState games without sitting in traffic on US 80 and State Route 322, has turned\ninto what will become the center of an eVTOL ecosystem for the East Coast,\u201d\nsaid Grant Fisk, Volatus Infrastructure Co-Founder. \u201cWe realized that\nBellefonte airport is within 90 miles of all the major cities so it just makes\nsense to expand this location which will lay the foundation for the eVTOL\ninfrastructure ecosystem for the East Coast.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Bellefonte Airport was used as one of the first airmail\nstops at the inception of the Airmail ecosystem,\u201d said John Elnitski,\nBellefonte Airport Manager. \u201cIt is fitting that Bellefonte Airport will again\nmeet this role for eVTOL use.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bellefonte Airport is a public use airport located in\nthe center of the state in Centre County.
