The organization will conduct the summit on the SUN &#8216;n FUN campus at Lakeland Linder International Airport for current and prospective Certified Flight Instructors, aviation leaders, industry advocates, government representatives, and the news media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The NAFI Summit will bring stakeholders in the flight\ninstruction community together to share CFI tips, techniques and best\npractices, relevant business skills, and networking opportunities,&#8221; said\nNAFI President Paul Preidecker. &#8220;We will focus on the important topics of\nprofessionalism, proficiency and pilot well-being along with changes to FAA\nregulations and rules,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For many of NAFI&#8217;s flight instructors who are part-time and\nself-employed, developing personal business acumen in the current economic\nclimate is essential and will be examined at the summit. &#8220;Additionally,\nthe NAFI Summit will present information designed to improve the industry&#8217;s\npass rates for initial pilot examinations,&#8221; Preidecker added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The summit will feature keynote speakers addressing the\nvital role of flight instructors, with an emphasis on continuous improvement in\nsafety and customer service. In the next few months, NAFI will provide updates\nas registration and hotel arrangements are made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Call for Papers Issued<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the keynote speakers, the summit agenda will\nhave a schedule of 30-minute presentations related to flight instruction. NAFI\nis accepting presentation abstracts for its summit. Abstracts should be 200-250\nwords (Word or PDF preferred) and should relate to the following general areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Managing your own flight instruction business<\/li><li>Tips and techniques to improve your skills as an\ninstructor<\/li><li>What went wrong\u201c\u2026a look at accident data from\ninstructional flights<\/li><li>Maintaining your health and well-being<\/li><li>Creating a path to success for students<\/li><li>Using new technology effectively<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline for submission is June 1. NAFI will follow-up\nwith additional details about submitting the final presentations.
