On Wednesday, January 18, the National Air Transportation\nAssociation (NATA) held a successful Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Town Hall in\nconjunction with its AAM Committee meeting in Washington, DC, announcing new\ncommittee leadership relative to infrastructure and flight operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Town Hall: AAM Landscape fostered connections between\nthe AAM community and NATA\u2019s other policy committees, providing a forum for\nleaders from the Association\u2019s AAM, Air Charter, GA Airport, Safety, and\nEnvironment committees to discuss operations, ground infrastructure, safety,\nmaintenance, security, and ground handling training relative to AAM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith the advent of emerging technologies, the aviation\nbusiness industry needs a unified approach to modernization of both our\ninfrastructure and operational framework. Communication, collaboration, and\ncooperation across all aviation verticals over the next decade will be key to\ncreating a healthy and vibrant AAM ecosystem,\u201d stated NATA President and CEO\nCurt Castagna. \u201cOn behalf of the NATA Board, executive leadership, and our\nmember businesses, I welcome our new AAM members to the Association and policy\ncommittee. NATA appreciates the committees\u2019 work to examine potential\nchallenges, seek opportunities, and identify solutions that will assist our\nmembers today, tomorrow, and 10 years from now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the Town Hall, the AAM Committee named Craig\nTeasdale, Vice President of Operations at Ferrovial Vertiports\n(infrastructure), and Toni Drummond, President US of Titan Aviation (flight\noperations), as co-chairs and outlined a strategic vision focusing on AAM\nground infrastructure and air charter operations development, legislative and\nregulatory priorities, and fact-based community education and industry\nrelations efforts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe new Advanced Air Mobility Committee is a great addition\nto advance NATA\u2019s role as the Voice of Aviation Business with the rapid\napproach of AAM changing the future aviation landscape. I look forward to\nworking with the committee members to help educate and inform the membership on\nthis ever changing and growing industry,\u201d stated Craig Teasdale, Vice President\nof Operations for Ferrovial Vertiports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
