The scope of collaboration involves both companies\nresearching the energy demands of vertiports and developing sustainable electrical\nsupply, standard charging processes, and a system of systems to support\naircraft operations. Innovation around vertiport infrastructure will be\ncritical to the future scalability of electric vertical take-off and landing\n(eVTOL) flight operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A main objective of the collaborative effort is to develop\nvertiports. This includes researching, developing, planning, and being part of\nthe construction and operation of them, with each company bringing its own\nstrength and experience to the effort. Skyway has a vast knowledge of airspace\nmission planning and management, air traffic navigation, and unmanned aircraft\noperations, and Siemens has infrastructure expertise in electrification,\nvehicle charging, and facility operations.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, the two will work together to design and engineer\na universal eVTOL charging process by evaluating the charging, power, and\nsoftware requirements to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
