The full-service American bistro and bar has returned\nafter a three-year hiatus next to gate G18. It\u2019s the last of five new venues to\nopen in the expanded G Concourse near the Terminal 1 skybridge to the C\nConcourse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mill City Tavern has expanded to 4,500 square feet for\nsit-down and bar service. It features 165 seats and full window views to the\nairfield. The venue joins Starbucks, CIBO Express Gourmet Market, Poppy\u2019s\nBagel\/Custom Burger, and Crisp &amp; Green as part of OTG\u2019s new and refreshed\nfood, beverage and retail offerings in the G Concourse. The additions bring\nMSP\u2019s concession program up to 140 units across two terminals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have an infusion of varied options in the G\nConcourse\u2014local and national, delicious and healthy\u2014that feature high-end\ndesign and the latest ordering technologies to get passengers through as\nquickly as possible with the use of online and kiosk ordering,\u201d said Isabella\nRhawie, assistant director, concessions and business development for the\nMetropolitan Airports Commission (MAC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The expansion of the G Concourse, completed in spring 2022,\nincorporates updated concourse and gate design elements. It added more than\n50,000 square feet of public space including a wide Terrazzo corridor, a\ntwo-story rotunda, brighter and more spacious gate areas, a suite of accessible\nrestrooms, and more art display space. Delta will also open a new Sky Club\nabove Mill City Tavern this spring \u2013 its third at MSP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe look, feel and amenities incorporated at the end of the\nG Concourse are a template for improvements yet to come,\u201d said Bridget Rief,\nvice president of planning and development for the MAC. \u201cWork to modernize the\nremaining post-security areas of Terminal 1 with new flooring, lighting,\nceilings and gate area enhancements will begin this year starting with\nConcourses D and F.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MAC and Delta Air Lines plan to invest a total of $230\nmillion over the next three years in modernizing most Terminal 1 concourse and\ngate areas.
