Fanning assumes the role after Jan Pie, Secretary General of the Aerospace, Security, and Defense Industries Association of Europe (ASD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAerospace and defense manufacturers are at the heart of the\naviation ecosystem, and global partnerships are key to maintaining safety,\nsecurity, and sustainability of that ecosystem,\u201d Fanning said. \u201cFor the last\ntwo years, Jan has led ICCAIA with distinction, navigating challenges and\ncreating exciting new opportunities for our industry globally. I look forward\nto stepping back into the role of chair after his exceptional leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOver the last two years, ICCAIA and our members have made\ngreat strides towards achieving a safer, more sustainable future for aviation,\u201d\nPie said. \u201cI am grateful for the opportunity to chair a great convening\norganization like ICCAIA, and I look forward to continued success under Eric\u2019s\nleadership.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ICCAIA is alternately chaired by the President and CEO of\nAIA and the Secretary General of Aerospace, Security, and Defense Industries\nAssociation of Europe (ASD), exchanging position every two years.
