The\nExecutive Committee is comprised of members of GAMA\u2019s Board of Directors, who\nprovide strategic leadership for the association and lead its policy\ncommittees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Eric-Hinson-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24439\" width=\"89\" height=\"121\"\/><figcaption><em>Eric Hinson<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Eric Hinson, President and CEO of Simcom International, will\nserve as Chair of the Board. Amalfitano served as GAMA\u2019s 2022 Chair\nof the Board and previously chaired of the Communication Committee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Coleal, CEO of Incora, will extend his term as chair\nof the Airworthiness and Maintenance Policy Committee. The committee works with\nauthorities to promote appropriate regulations and policies for maintenance and\nrepair stations. Previously, Coleal served as chair of the Environment Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maria Della Posta, President of Pratt &amp; Whitney Canada,\nwill extend her term as chair of the Communications Committee. The committee\nworks to promote the general aviation industry and its benefits to the global\neconomy and air transportation system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JoeBen Bevirt, Founder and CEO of Joby Aviation, will\ncontinue to serve as chair of the Electric Propulsion and Innovation Committee\n(EPIC). The committee works to create an environment conducive to efficient\ndesign, production, operation, integration and maintenance of hybrid and\nelectric propulsion aircraft, including eVTOLs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tony Lefebvre, CEO of Signature Aviation, will extend his\nterm as chair of the Environment Committee. The committee works to develop and\nrepresent the industry\u2019s views on public policy affecting aviation related\nenvironmental issues worldwide, including CO2 emissions reductions, sustainable\naviation fuels, supersonic aircraft, and updates to the Business Aviation\nCommitment on Climate Change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Van Den Langenbergh, Chief Industry Affairs Officer at\nLuxaviation Group, will continue to serve as chair the European Leaders\nSteering Committee. The committee engages with senior European politicians and\npolicymakers to advocate for the interests of general aviation in Europe\nincluding regulatory changes, policy initiatives and communications strategies.\nPreviously, Van Den Langenbergh served as chair of the Airworthiness and\nMaintenance Policy Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John Calcagno, President and CEO of Piper Aircraft, will\nserve as chair of the Policy and Legal Issues Committee. The committee tracks,\nanalyzes and responds to legal developments, litigation trends and policies\npresenting business and legal risks or opportunities to general aviation\nmanufacturers. This will be Calcagno\u2019s first time serving on the Executive\nCommittee, he has served on GAMA&#8217;s Board of Directors since 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ron Draper, President and CEO of Textron Aviation, will\nserve as chair of the Flight Operations Policy Committee. The committee works\nto ensure that an adequate air transportation infrastructure is available for\ngeneral aviation and addresses impediments to operations of general aviation\naircraft. This will be Draper\u2019s first time serving on the Executive Committee,\nhe has served on GAMA&#8217;s Board of Directors since 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charlie Gregoire, President and COO of Redbird Flight will\nserve as chair of the Safety and Accident Investigation Committee. The\ncommittee works to analyze policies, industry standards and regulatory\nactivities related to proactive safety improvements and aircraft accident\ninvestigation. This will be Gregoire\u2019s first time serving on the Executive\nCommittee, he has served on GAMA&#8217;s Board of Directors since 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Henry Brooks, President of Power &amp; Controls at Collins\nAerospace, will continue to serve as chair of the Security Issues Committee.\nThe committee works to establish best practices for general aviation security\nand engages with government agencies on security policies and regulatory\nrequirements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeff Trang, Vice President of Engineering and Flight\nOperations at Airbus Helicopters, will extend his term as chair of the Technical\nPolicy Committee. The committee works with authorities on continuous\nimprovement of certification and validation processes and to develop and\nimplement effective standards and technical policies pertaining to the design,\ncertification, validation and production of general aviation products and\ncomponents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The GAMA Executive Committee was elected by the Board of\nDirectors during its Fall Board Meeting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) announced the makeup of its Executive Committee leadership team for 2023.
