As the newest member of the TAA\u2019s\nexecutive team, he will report directly to the CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNow more than ever, communication plays a critical role as\nwe highlight the TAA as a pillar of the community and as an economic engine for\nthe Southern Arizona region,\u201d said Danette Bewley, TAA President and CEO. \u201cI am\nexcited for Austin to bring a new dynamic to the team with his airline\nexperience, especially as we work with airlines to expand prosperity through\nincreased air service development at Tucson International Airport (TUS).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wright\u2019s years of airline experience had him loyal to\nSouthwest Airlines, where he continued to exceed expectations and promote from\nwithin. He started as a customer service agent based at Pittsburgh\nInternational Airport (PIT), then he took on various leadership roles at Dallas\nLove Field (DAL), (PIT), Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW), and most\nrecently TUS as Station Manager. Along the way, Wright has developed a skillset\nin leading results-driven teams, civic and community engagement, and serving as\na liaison for multi-party projects, among many others that will benefit the\nTAA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wagner, with nine years of finance experience, and most\nrecently the TAA\u2019s Financial Controller, is positioned to adjust to his new\nrole with ease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Clark-Wager.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24377\" width=\"192\" height=\"260\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Clark-Wager.jpg 439w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Clark-Wager-221x300.jpg 221w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 192px) 100vw, 192px\" \/><figcaption><em>Clark Wagner<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is easy to become wrapped up in the figures and data\nsets when you work in the financial realm, but Clark is about more than the\nnumbers,\u201d said Bewley. \u201cHe has an incredible wealth of knowledge and business\nacumen, but more importantly, he knows how to connect with people; I look\nforward to his continued success as a leader within the TAA.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Financial Controller, Wager directed all financial\naccounting and reporting functions, as well as systems maintenance and\nconfigurations. Now, as Director of Finance, he will maintain existing\nresponsibilities as well as managing the financial planning and analysis\nfunctions for the TAA. The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for Tucson\nInternational Airport (TUS) and Ryan Airfield (RYN) is a large undertaking and\nWager has been instrumental in the collaborative effort for the two most recent\nreports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wager, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of\nArizona, worked in areas of technical accounting and SEC financial reporting as\nAccount Manager for CIM Group prior to joining the TAA. He also audited a\ndiverse mix of clients for PricewaterhouseCoopers assurance and attestation\npractice. Wager is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of\nScience in Business Administration \u2013 Accounting; Master of Accounting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wright is currently studying to earn his Master of Public\nAdministration from the University of Texas with a graduation date of June\n2023.
