WACS is a professional career conference\nfor women only, from high school juniors to retirees and will take place at\nWestern Michigan University\u2019s College of Aviation located in Battle Creek, MI.\nDesigned to introduce women to aviation and to promote networking, education,\nand scholarships, WACS takes pride in building up the aerospace community. Our attendees will be able to meet dedicated\nprofessionals who want nothing more than to elevate the next generation of\nwomen in aerospace and take the industry to new heights,\u201d said Helen Hagg,\nco-founder of WACS. \u201cWhether through scholarships or career advice, we are here\nto be a resource to women who will be the future of our industry.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This multi-faceted event will have space for WACS attendees\nto meet and network with industry companies, organizations, and professional\nwomen in aviation. It will feature information on aviation, aerospace\nengineering, space, STEM education, and military aviation. Round table\ndiscussion panels will be held in the morning where attendees can ask questions\nabout different industry careers and learn about the everyday life of each\npanelist. Keynote speaker Tammy \u201cG\u201d Barlette, a retired Lieutenant Colonel US\nAir Force Pilot and professional speaker, is set to inspire the next generation\nof women to persevere and pursue their dreams. Last year, nearly 180 women\nattended and $32,000 in scholarships were awarded to 16 women. The event drew\nrepresentatives and professionals from leading companies, including West Star\nAviation, Northern Jet Management, Duncan Aviation, L3Harris Technologies,\nInc., Jackson National Life, Gulfstream, and Dassault Falcon Jet. Also present\nwere several regional airlines, corporate aviation companies, and schools.
