In particular, this recognition\nacknowledges the forward thinking of our Board of Directors to grow our\nworld-wide presence by opening up a Brussels office near the European\nCommission over a decade ago as well as expand our membership beyond airplane\nmanufacturers to include maintenance and repair organizations, rotorcraft\nmanufacturers and in 2016, establish an associate membership category for\ncompanies working in the emerging sector of advanced air mobility. However, the\nGAMA board\u2019s greatest success has been to attract, support and promote an\nincredibly talented staff of subject matter experts with an unmatched knowledge\nof the technical, regulatory and governmental processes needed to effectively\nwork with regulators, legislators and authorities. This hall of fame induction\nbelongs to the remarkable team I have the privilege to lead and support as they\napply their incredible expertise day-in and day-out to strengthen the general\naviation industry,\u201d said GAMA President and CEO, Pete Bunce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 1963, the International Air &amp; Space Hall of Fame\nhas honored the world\u2019s most significant pilots, crew members, visionaries,\ninventors, aerospace engineers, business leaders, preservationists, designers\nand space explorers.
