CLEAR is celebrating the launch of its secure identity\ntechnology at Luis Mu\u00c3\u00b1oz Mar\u00c3\u00adn International Airport (SJU), which is operated\nby Aerostar Airport Holdings. SJU is the first airport outside the continental\nUnited States to feature CLEAR\u2019s signature expedited identity verification\nlanes. CLEAR\u2019s launch at SJU is expected to create 49 local jobs and generate\napproximately $2.5 million in local economic activity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By avoiding the need to use\ntraditional identification documents, CLEAR\u2019s service will help save people\ntime and stress at the security checkpoint \u2013 especially during the busy holiday\ntravel season,\u201d said Aerostar President Jorge Hern\u00c3\u00a1ndez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The launch represents continued growth in CLEAR\u2019s footprint,\nwhere it serves a total of 47 airports and boasts 14+ million members. CLEAR\nalready serves 8 of SJU\u2019s top 10 U.S. destinations, allowing members traveling\nthrough SJU to use CLEAR on both ends of their journey. Members use CLEAR\u2019s\nnetwork of dedicated lanes to verify their identity with their eyes or fingers,\nreplacing the need to take out their wallet and driver\u2019s license. After\nverification, a CLEAR Ambassador escorts members through the dedicated lane and\ndirectly to TSA physical security, reducing the amount of time spent waiting in\nline at the security checkpoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In celebration of the launch, CLEAR will also make a\ndonation to Hurricane Fiona relief efforts on behalf of members who enroll and\nverify at SJU during November, up to $10,000. Enrollment takes less than five\nminutes and can be done with the help of a CLEAR Ambassador at any pod at SJU;\nverifications can only be done with a valid same-day boarding pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CLEAR Plus \u2013 an opt-in membership that provides access to\nCLEAR\u2019s expedited security lanes \u2013 costs about $16 a month billed annually,\nwith discounts available for Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and American\nExpress members.
