Daniel Prather, an\naviation veteran with two decades of experience, as Airport Manager at\nRiverside Airport. He replaces Kim Ellis, who managed the airport for the past\neight years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/C-Daniel-Prather-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23852\" width=\"178\" height=\"227\"\/><figcaption><em>Dr. C. Daniel Prather<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Prather has served for years as a trainer, educator, speaker\nand author across several states in the U.S. Locally, he developed the Aviation\nFlight and Aviation management majors at California Baptist University, created\nand managed the CBU Flight School, and hired and supervised faculty and staff.\nHe teaches several courses each semester for CBU as Professor of Aviation\nScience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prather is President of DPrather Aviation Solutions, an\naviation consulting firm for which he conducts research for the Airport\nCooperative Research Program and consults with airports nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDr. Prather\u2019s education and experience make him highly\nqualified to manage Riverside Airport,\u201d Interim City Manager Michael Moore\nsaid. \u201cI look forward to him carrying on the tradition of excellent customer\nservice established by Kim Ellis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He previously served as Assistant Director of Operations at\nthe Hillsborough County Aviation Authority at Tampa International Airport in Florida,\nand as Associate Professor of Aerospace at Middle Tennessee State University.\nHe is an Accredited Airport Executive through the American Association of\nAirport Executives (AAAE) and a Certified Aviation Manager through the National\nBusiness Aviation Association (NBAA).&nbsp; He\nis also an instrument-rated private pilot and a Remote Pilot with sUAS rating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Prather holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree, a Doctor of\nBusiness Administration degree, a Master of Public Administration degree, a\nMaster of Business Administration degree, and a Bachelor of Commercial Aviation\ndegree.&nbsp; He is the author of two\ncollege-level textbooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRiverside is an exceptional airport that is well-situated\nin Southern California for continued excellence,\u201d Prather said. \u201cI am excited\nto apply my knowledge and experience to support continued development of the\nairport so it can reach its full potential.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The City of Riverside has named Dr. C.
