{"id":23815,"date":"2022-10-24T17:04:58","date_gmt":"2022-10-24T17:04:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=23815"},"modified":"2022-10-24T17:04:59","modified_gmt":"2022-10-24T17:04:59","slug":"nbaa-board-elections-announced-at-nbaa-annual-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/national-news\/nbaa-board-elections-announced-at-nbaa-annual-meeting\/%20","title":{"rendered":"NBAA Board Elections Announced at NBAA Annual Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The voting members of the National Business Aviation\nAssociation (NBAA) re-elected two individuals to the association\u2019s Board of\nDirectors during an annual meeting held as part of NBAA\u2019s annual Business\nAviation Convention &amp; Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charlie Precourt recently retired as the vice president and\ngeneral manager of the Propulsion Systems business at Northrop Grumman. He\ncurrently serves as vice chairman of the Board of Directors for the\nExperimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and as the chair of the Safety\nCommittee for the Citation Jet Pilots Association. Precourt, who retired as an\nAir Force colonel in 2000, graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1977\nwith a degree in aeronautical engineering. He was an F-15 pilot, instructor,\nand flight commander, and a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School.\nHe has more than 11,000 hours in over 90 different types of aircraft, and is\ntype rated in several Citation aircraft models and exhibition warbird jet\naircraft. A veteran of four space flights and member of the Astronaut Hall of\nFame, Precourt held several management positions within NASA, including deputy\nprogram manager for the International Space Station, chief of the Astronaut\nCorps, and director of operations for NASA at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training\nCenter in Star City, Russia. Precourt serves on the association\u2019s Audit\nCommittee and was re-elected today for a one-year term as director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Richard Walsh is currently the vice president of aviation\nfor American Express, where he is responsible for leading all facets of the\naviation operation. Prior to his appointment at American Express, Walsh served\nas vice president of global aviation and travel security services for Hewlett\nPackard Enterprise. He also worked as vice president of aviation and business\ncontinuity for Cardinal Health and spent 20 years with United Airlines in\nmultiple training and flight operations leadership roles. He is past chairman\nof the NBAA Safety Committee and currently serves on the board of directors for\nthe Lee A. Archer Jr. Red Tail Youth Flying Program, which delivers aviation\nopportunities to youth from areas traditionally underrepresented in aviation\nand other STEM careers. He has accumulated over 17,000 hours of diverse flight\nexperience and is type rated on seven different turbo-jet aircraft.
