The U.S. Department of Transportation\u2019s Federal Aviation\nAdministration (FAA) today issued guidance on how to become an FAA-recognized\ncommunity-based organization for recreational drone flying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under federal law, recreational drone flyers must follow the\nsafety guidelines of a FAA-recognized community-based organization. The\norganization is required to develop its safety guidelines in coordination with\nthe FAA and an applicant may wish to tailor them to a particular type of\nunmanned aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The FAA\u2019s guidance, Advisory Circular 91-57C<\/a> provides a comprehensive list of recommended safety guidelines that applicants may consider using in their application.
