{"id":23787,"date":"2022-10-24T02:42:47","date_gmt":"2022-10-24T02:42:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=23787"},"modified":"2022-10-24T02:42:48","modified_gmt":"2022-10-24T02:42:48","slug":"textron-aviation-expands-parts-distribution-operations-at-its-hdq-location-to-better-serve-global-customer-base","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/kansas\/textron-aviation-expands-parts-distribution-operations-at-its-hdq-location-to-better-serve-global-customer-base\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Textron Aviation Expands Parts Distribution Operations at Its HDQ Location to Better Serve Global Customer Base"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Textron Aviation today announced a significant move to add\n180,000 square feet of space to its parts distribution operations to better\nsupport customers who own and operate Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker products.\nLocated at the company\u2019s headquarters in Wichita, Kansas, the expansion\nsupports parts availability for the thousands of aircraft operating about the\nworld which were designed and manufactured by Textron Aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe take pride in supporting the thousands of aircraft\nmanufactured by Textron Aviation,\u201d said Kriya Shortt, senior vice president,\nGlobal Parts and Distribution. \u201cCustomers expect us to have parts available to\nkeep them flying and this expansion will allow us to more efficiently support\nour customers\u2019 parts needs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The larger footprint will allow the company to continue to\ninvest in inventory to support not only new models like the Cessna SkyCourier\nand Beechcraft Denali but to continue to bolster its stock levels for other\nproduct lines as well. The expansion also enables Textron Aviation to continue\nto make it easier for customers to conduct business with the company, including\na dedicated lane for customers to drop-off or pick up parts in person and,\nopportunities for consolidated shipments. The expanded operations will also\nprovide expedited support to the company\u2019s own Wichita Service Center. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consistent with the company\u2019s commitment to sustainability,\nthe project features energy-saving LED lighting and high-efficiency systems,\nand process improvements that will consolidate shipments and reduce vehicle\ntravel by an estimated 40,000 miles annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company expects the project to begin later this month\nand be completed by the end of 2023. The new footprint includes room for\nwarehouse space, an extension of the existing mezzanine structure for parts\nstorage and offices and additional room for dedicated customer support\nanalysts. PEC Engineering and GLMV Architecture designed the facility and CONCO\nConstruction will complete the project. All companies are local to Textron\nAviation\u2019s headquarters and the expanded facility in Wichita, Kansas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Textron Aviation has seven distribution centers and 17\nstockrooms around the globe.
