The piston\naircraft will add to ATP\u2019s existing fleet of nearly 200 Skyhawks, across 74\ntraining centers nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis order announcement demonstrates our continued\nlong-term relationship we have with ATP in support of their flight training\nneeds,\u201d said Chris Crow, vice president, Textron Aviation Piston Sales. \u201cFor\nmore than six decades, the legendary Cessna Skyhawk has been one of the world\u2019s\ntop training aircraft. We are thrilled to see these aircraft utilized to\ninspire the next generation of professional pilots.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deliveries of the 55 aircraft will begin in late 2023 and\ncontinue throughout 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students in ATP\u2019s Airline Career Pilot Program will utilize\nthe new Cessna Skyhawks to train as airline pilots amid unprecedented demand\nfor the skillset. The stable flight characteristics, advanced avionics, and\nproven dispatch reliability of the Cessna Skyhawk make it a dependable training\nplatform for ATP, who flies 40,000 flight hours per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;ATP takes pride in providing Airline Career Pilot\nProgram students with one of the newest, most advanced safety-focused training\nfleets,&#8221; said Michael Arnold, director of Marketing, ATP Flight School.\n&#8220;The Skyhawk has proven to be an integral part of the ATP fleet, which\nsystem wide delivers 480,000 flight hours and nearly 9,000 pilot certificates\nissued annually.
