The\ninvestment in H55 aligns with Raytheon Technologies\u2019 longstanding leadership in\nthe development of innovative and sustainable propulsion technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/H55edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23756\" width=\"324\" height=\"187\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/H55edit.jpg 400w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/H55edit-300x173.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 324px) 100vw, 324px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>H55, a Swiss company, is a leading enabler of electric\npropulsion solutions and battery systems. The team has proven ability in\ndeveloping, integrating and flight-testing electric propulsion systems,\nincluding Solar Impulse, the first solar-powered electric airplane to fly\naround the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cH55 is a key collaborator in our strategy for demonstrating\nthe potential of hybrid-electric propulsion technology, which will be enhanced\nby this investment from RTX Ventures,\u201d said Graham Webb, chief sustainability\nofficer at Pratt &amp; Whitney. \u201cTogether, H55 and Raytheon Technologies are\nadvancing new technologies that will help achieve the aviation industry&#8217;s goal\nof reaching net zero CO2 emissions by 2050.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of this investment, H55 will benefit from RTX\nVentures\u2019 guidance in supporting H55\u2019s plans to accelerate electric propulsion\nsolutions and battery systems. H55 is already working with the company to develop\nand demonstrate hybrid-electric propulsion technologies. RTX Ventures will also\nfacilitate opportunities to work together on future product development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cReceiving an investment from RTX Ventures is yet a further\nrecognition of H55\u2019s track record, expertise, and potential,\u201d said Andr\u00e9\nBorschberg, H55\u2019s executive chairman. \u201cWith RTX Ventures, H55 will benefit from\nthe potential opportunity to work with Raytheon Technologies on a range of\nprojects that will enable us to intensify our offering, building-out a wide\nportfolio of products and solutions suitable for many customers and\napplications across the aviation industry.\u201d&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working together, Raytheon Technologies and H55 will advance\nelectric aviation and demonstrate the advantages of adopting sustainable\ntechnologies, which are more efficient and cost effective.
