German aircraft manufacturer Deutsche Aircraft (\u201cDA\u201d) and\nACIA Aero Leasing (\u201cACIA\u201d), a leading provider of regional aircraft leasing and\nlease management services announced the signing of a Memorandum of\nUnderstanding (\u201cMoU\u201d) to collaborate on marketing the manufacturer\u2019s aircraft.\nThe efforts will focus on the D328\u00ae and D328ecoTM variants that provide\npassenger, multi-role, and firefighting aircraft configurations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wildfires are an increasingly prevalent source of\ndevastation in many areas across the world every year, generating adverse\nimpacts that are only compounded by the effects of climate change. In 2022, the\nworld has already witnessed the highest frequency of wildfires in a decade. To\nsupport efforts in addressing this issue, DA and ACIA are joining forces to\ndevelop firefighting aircraft that will aid government agencies in deploying\naircraft configured for this specific application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The firefighting-configured D328eco is an ideal multi-role\naircraft that can be used as a water-bomber and full-passenger aircraft.\nTherefore, it is well suited for this collaboration between DA and ACIA to\ncover Leasing, Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance (\u201cACMI\u201d) operations,\nand related support, delivering multiple advantages to operators with different\nrequirements. ACIA will become a preferred lessor of DA aircraft for the\nmarketing of D328\u00ae and D328eco aircraft in firefighting configurations,\nsupporting cost reductions and efficiencies for various government agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
