SkyDrive and Volatus agree to form a strategic alliance to\nsupport each other\u2019s business development and market expansion goals. SkyDrive\nwill integrate Volatus\u2019 AAM infrastructure including vertiports and charging\nstations into their U.S. business platform. SkyDrive will also support Volatus\nin expanding their eVTOL infrastructure into the Japanese market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SkyDrive is the leading manufacturer of eVTOLs1 in Japan and\nis currently engaged in the development of a compact, two-seat electric-powered\naircraft named \u201cSkyDrive SD-05.\u201d SkyDrive reached a key milestone when Japan\nCivil Aviation Bureau accepted its application for type certification of the\nSD-05 in October 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In alignment with SkyDrive\u2019s own vision, Volatus is focused\non making its eVTOL technology widely accessible to everyone by steering the\nAAM industry towards agreeable standards. Volatus has also committed to keeping\nthe cost of their products and services priced to allow for universal\naccessibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Volatus will provide tailored infrastructure packages to\nSkyDrive as one of SkyDrive\u2019s preferred vendors that includes eVTOL vertiports\nand charging facilities. These packages will also be extended to SkyDrive&#8217;s\ncustomers as desired. SkyDrive, within its capacity, will support Volatus 2 in\nthe development of its infrastructure. The two companies will cooperate with\neach other with the common goal of promoting AAM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cVolatus is planning to build permanent vertiports in many\nstates in the US, starting with Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and SkyDrive is looking to\nutilize their vertiports,\u201d said SkyDrive CEO Tomohiro Fukuzawa. \u201cWe believe our\ncollaboration will accelerate and promote advanced air mobility.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is a huge step forward for the global eVTOL industry,\u201d\nsaid Grant Fisk, Volatus Infrastructure Co-Founder. \u201cWe can best serve communities\nand make this technology accessible faster by working together.
