The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today\nannounced its Flying Safety Award recipients for the period ending Dec. 31,\n2021. More than 100 companies and flight department were recognized for\naccident-free flying, including Exxon Mobil, which received the association\u2019s\nfirst 90-year award for safe operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These awards serve as a testimony to the high degree of\nprofessionalism and safety culture within participating companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCommitment to safety is fundamental to business aviation,\nand for our industry to thrive in the U.S., we must be safe, and must be\nunderstood to be safe,\u201d said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. \u201cWe applaud our\naward winners for their dedication to safe operations and for inspiring the industry\nto follow best practices and standards for accident-free flying.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Award recipients will be recognized during the National Safety Forum<\/a>, taking place at NBAA\u2019s 2022 Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), Oct. 18-20 in Orlando, FL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The following companies were recognized with Safe Flying\nAchievement Awards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 50-Year Safe Flying Award Recipients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Farm Bureau Life Insurance Co., Genuine Parts Co., MIT Lincoln Laboratory Flight Test Facility, New York Power Authority<\/p>\n\n\n\n 60-Year Safe Flying Award Recipients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Hormel Foods, Norfolk Southern <\/p>\n\n\n\n 75-Year Safe Flying Award Recipients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Corning, Inc., Crow Executive Air, Inc., KaiserAir, Inc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 90-Year Safe Flying Award Recipient:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Exxon Mobil <\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition to these milestones, NBAA recognized members in\nthe following categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Corporate Business Flying Safety Award \u2013 88 companies Commercial Business Flying Safety Award \u2013 Eight companies Aviation Maintenance Department Award \u2013 54 companies qualified<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Flying Safety Awards program was launched in 1953 by the NBAA board of directors to promote a culture of safety in business aviation operations.
