Orders from Charleys are placed using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flytrex.com\/#download\">Flytrex app<\/a> and delivered via the skies to front and backyards of local residents with an average flight time of just three minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The process for ordering delivery via drone will be the same\nas previously established delivery stations \u2013 eligible customers can order\ntheir favorite cheesesteaks, fries, real-fruit lemonades, and more from\nCharleys, as well as food and goods from other local restaurants, cafes and\nretailers. Orders are placed using the Flytrex app, which updates customers\nregarding their order status along the route until the package is safely\nlowered by wire into their backyards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe future of delivery is here, and we couldn\u2019t be more\nexcited. I can think of no better way to receive a fresh cheesesteak delivered hot\noff the grill to my yard,\u201d said Brian Hipsher, Charleys\u2019 CMO. \u201cWe look forward\nto expanding our partnership with Flytrex to create a more cost effective and\nquick delivery service for all our guests.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Charleys Philly Steaks, the world\u2019s largest cheesesteak\nfranchise, digital initiatives are a top priority: the franchise places\ntremendous importance on engaging with customers through their loyalty program,\nCharleys Rewards, which already has over 1,000,000 members. We look forward to continuing\ngrowing our delivery service nationwide to reach the tens of millions of\nbackyards across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This expansion to Durham marks Flytrex\u2019s fifth station in the U.S. and fourth in the \u2018First in Flight\u2019 state. Flytrex has three other operational stations in the state of North Carolina: in Fayetteville, Raeford, and Holly Springs; and recently expanded its drone delivery service to Granbury, Texas, just outside of Dallas-Fort Worth. The service will operate in cooperation with longtime partner <a href=\"https:\/\/causeyaviationunmanned.com\/\">Causey Aviation Unmanned<\/a> under the recently granted Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) waiver allowing a delivery radius of two nautical miles across its stations in North Carolina and Texas \u2013 reaching hundreds of thousands of potential homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2017, Flytrex successfully launched the world\u2019s first\nfully autonomous urban drone delivery system in Reykjavik, Iceland. The company\nhas since been working closely with regulators to help ensure the highest\nsafety standards in getting drone delivery off the ground.
