American Airlines will begin daily,\nnonstop service from Phoenix to Monterrey, Mexico on January 10, 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMexico is Phoenix\u2019s number one trade and tourism partner\nwhich makes air service to Monterrey increasingly important for our local\neconomy,\u201d said Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego. \u201cAs American Airlines expands its\ninternational service, Phoenix benefits from increased connectivity to emerging\nglobal markets and sought-after leisure destinations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monterrey is Mexico\u2019s third largest city, the capital of the\nstate of Nuevo Leon and is a business hub for Northern Mexico. There has not\nbeen a nonstop flight between Phoenix and Monterrey since 2004.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/AA-Tails-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23510\" width=\"346\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/AA-Tails-edit.jpg 400w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/AA-Tails-edit-300x182.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 346px) 100vw, 346px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The daily flight, operated on an Embraer 175, will depart\nPhoenix nightly at 7:50 p.m. and arrive in Monterrey at 11 p.m. The return\nflight will depart Monterrey at 8 a.m. and arrive in Phoenix at 9:40 a.m. The\ntiming of the flight is ideal for both business and leisure travelers. The\naircraft has capacity for 76 passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs customers begin to plan their New Year\u2019s travels,\nAmerican is excited to provide new, nonstop service between Phoenix and\nMonterrey this January,\u201d said Sophia Philis-Ortiz, American Airlines Managing\nDirector of PHX Hub Operations. \u201cWe are proud to offer the most direct flights\nfrom Phoenix to Mexico. And, with this addition, our customers will be more\nseamlessly connected to one of Mexico\u2019s top business and leisure destinations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the 13th Mexican destination American serves from\nPhoenix Sky Harbor. American\u2019s flight schedule this January is 11 percent\nlarger to Mexico than it was pre-pandemic in January 2019. Additionally, the 13\ndestinations represent a 44 percent increase in Mexican destinations served\ncompared to January 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>International flights provide important economic benefits to\nthe community.
