Selected from over 140 candidates, Michelle has successfully\nbuilt a team of versatile and high-performing professionals that are passionate\nabout growing Cirrus Aircraft. She spearheaded several IT initiatives to lead\nthe company\u2019s digital approach and improve operations scaling the business.\nStrategic by nature, Michelle is a key driver in creating and executing the\n\u201cCirrus 360\u201d Vision, which digitally connects customers, aircraft, network\npartners and employees. Additionally, she was instrumental in designing and\nbuilding the IT infrastructure to support the company\u2019s Cirrus IQ\u2122 mobile\napplication for secure communication between aircraft and Cirrus Aircraft\nservers. She also developed the proprietary technology platform that hosts the\ncompany\u2019s award-winning flight training program, Cirrus Approach\u2122. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its inception in 1998, over 1,800 CIOs have been\nhonored as finalists and over 500 CIO of the Year winners have received the\nprestigious ORBIE Award. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ORBIE honors chief information officers and those in\nequivalent roles who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership.\nWinners are selected by an independent peer review process, led by prior ORBIE\nrecipients, based upon: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michelle joined Cirrus Aircraft in early 2016 and is\nresponsible for leading the enterprise\u2019s digital strategy. She has over 30\nyears of business leadership experience in information technology, program\nmanagement, accounting and finance in both private and public companies.\nMichelle\u2019s prior experience includes leadership roles at ATK (Alliant\nTechsystems), Gelco Information Network and Carlson Companies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Michelle earned her Private Pilot License while working at\nCirrus Aircraft and holds a Bachelor of Administration in Accounting from the\nUniversity of Wisconsin \u2013 Eau Claire, an Executive Master of Business\nAdministration from the University of Minnesota\u2019s Carlson School of Management\nand a Mini-Master\u2019s degree in Information Technology from St. Thomas\nUniversity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of the\nNorthland and is member of the Minnesota CIO Network. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
