She spearheaded several IT initiatives to lead\nthe company\u2019s digital approach and improve operations scaling the business.\nStrategic by nature, Michelle is a key driver in creating and executing the\n\u201cCirrus 360\u201d Vision, which digitally connects customers, aircraft, network\npartners and employees. Additionally, she was instrumental in designing and\nbuilding the IT infrastructure to support the company\u2019s Cirrus IQ\u2122 mobile\napplication for secure communication between aircraft and Cirrus Aircraft\nservers. She also developed the proprietary technology platform that hosts the\ncompany\u2019s award-winning flight training program, Cirrus Approach\u2122. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are extremely proud of Michelle and this great\naccomplishment,\u201d said George Letten, Executive Vice President and Chief\nFinancial Officer of Cirrus Aircraft. \u201cHer ability to partner with the\nbusiness, grow and develop talent, and continue to innovate and push boundaries\nexemplifies the Vision and Values of Cirrus Aircraft. These skills are also\ncritical to supporting Cirrus Aircraft\u2019s six-time recognition as the Best Place\nto Work in Duluth.\u201d&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since its inception in 1998, over 1,800 CIOs have been\nhonored as finalists and over 500 CIO of the Year winners have received the\nprestigious ORBIE Award.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ORBIE honors chief information officers and those in\nequivalent roles who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership.\nWinners are selected by an independent peer review process, led by prior ORBIE\nrecipients, based upon: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Leadership and management effectiveness&nbsp; <\/li><li>Business value created by technology\ninnovation&nbsp; <\/li><li>The size and scope of responsibilities&nbsp; <\/li><li>Engagement in industry and community endeavors <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Michelle joined Cirrus Aircraft in early 2016 and is\nresponsible for leading the enterprise\u2019s digital strategy.
