Available on Apple and\nAndroid devices, the user-friendly AFG App is custom designed for WAI to\nprovide an extraordinary engaging and educational experience. This new app\nfeatures a broad range of content including hands-on activities, virtual tours,\ninterviews, scholarship information, instructional videos, book readings in\nmultiple languages, as well as all of the digital issues of Aviation for Girls\nmagazine. And despite the name, all kids, regardless of gender, are welcome to\nparticipate. The Aviation for Girls App is available for free all across the\nglobe. With the generous support of WAI corporate\nsponsors, and dedicated WAI chapters and corporate members, we\u2019ll deliver the\nexperience of a lifetime that opens doors of previously unimagined opportunity\nin aviation and aerospace for girls around the globe.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 16,000 girls, ages 8-17, around the world on\nSeptember 24 will be able to experience the 8th Annual Girls in Aviation Day in\ntheir local communities through unique events hosted by Women in Aviation\nInternational (WAI) Chapters and Corporate Members. Over 120 events are planned\nat airports, FBOs, museums, and hangars in 19 countries across the U.S.,\nCanada, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
