This is leaps and bounds ahead of the 490 aircraft processed in\n2012\/13. Scottsdale has offered U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)\nthrough a user fee service since 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cScottsdale Airport is a viable customs processing\ndestination,\u201d says Gary P. Mascaro, aviation director. \u201cWe strive to offer a\ngreat customer service experience, which is made possible thanks to our\npartnership with CBP.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bulk of users into Scottsdale originate from Canada and\nMexico, but Scottsdale serves as a gateway to visitors from all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the years, new initiatives have been implemented:\nthe Customs service hours and days were expanded, we added an additional\nOfficer to meet the demand, and an online payment system was recently\nactivated. Since executing these initiatives, there has been a steady increase\nin CBP\u2019s processing over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe historic number of international flights processed at\nScottsdale Airport demonstrates the successful partnership between U.S. Customs\nand Border Protection (CBP) and Scottsdale Airport.\u201d says Port Director Chris\nLeon. \u201cCBP looks forward to supporting the growth of international trade and\ntravel, a great benefit to the U.S. economy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mother and daughter duo (pictured above) are the 2,000th\nuser and arrived into Scottsdale from Calgary, Canada.
