Flying Magazine has recently\nranked Iowa Lakes Community College as the nation\u2019s leading community college\naviation program and third among all college-based aviation programs in the\nUnited States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Aviation and Airport Management program has been offered\nat Iowa Lakes for more than 40 years, with significant growth and expansion\nover the past three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have spent the past three years developing the program.\nThere have been many changes as we grow into a world-class aviation program.\nMore improvements are coming, but we\u2019re on the right track. Iowa Lakes students\nknow they are getting a great start to a great career at a great value,\u201d said\nTim Busch, Iowa Lakes Aviation and Airport Management Program Coordinator and\nChief Flight Instructor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The magazine ranked college aviation programs based on five\ncategories: industry partners, value, fleet, campus life, and\nfacilities\/location. Iowa Lakes scored 41 out of 50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the demand for pilots on the rise, there is a\nconsiderable need for new pilots to enter the workforce each year. Iowa Lakes\nnot only offers an Associate in Applied Science degree but also the Federal\nAviation Administration (FAA) licenses and ratings and the industry connections\nneeded for placement in a fulfilling career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Flying Magazine, Iowa Lakes offers a solid aviation education and is perfect for students interested in a smaller school with personalized instruction.
