The aircraft\nmanufacturing industry\u2019s results for the first six months of 2022, when\ncompared to the same period in 2021, point to increasing deliveries across\nnearly all aircraft segments along with an increase in the overall value of the\naircraft shipments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDemand\nfor general aviation aircraft continues at a robust pace. Since the initial\nsetbacks of the pandemic, we have seen some segments make strides with growing\nbacklogs and high rates of operations while others are still diligently working\nto navigate the path to recovery,\u201d said GAMA President &amp; CEO, Pete Bunce.\n\u201cDespite ongoing supply chain and workforce issues, our industry continues to\nmake progress and strategically posture for the future, which is a true\ntestament to our strength and durability.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aircraft\nshipments through the second quarter of 2022, when compared to the same period\nin 2021, saw piston airplanes increase 9.4% with 638 units, turboprops increase\n11.8% with 247 units, and business jets increase 9.5% with 289 units.
