ISTAT grants are\nheavily focused on building the future of aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year&#8217;s gift to the NAHF provides funding for the Wings\nof Women event to be held at the National Aviation Hall of Fame and the National\nMuseum of the United States Air Force on September 25th, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are thrilled to be holding our 2022 WOW event in\npartnership with our friends from the Huffman Praire Chapter and the Wright\nChapter of Women in Aviation, International&#8221;, said Amy Spowart, President\nand CEO of the NAHF. &#8220;Our combined goal is to host at least 500 girls and\ntheir families. Attendees will be able to hear from NAHF Enshrinee and former\nNASA Astronaut Eileen Collins, meet former USAF Thunderbrd pilot Caroline &#8220;Blaze&#8221;\nJensen, engage with aviation filmmaker Kara White, and speak with WASP\nhistorian and author Erin Miller.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WOW, is an annual mentorship program that offers young women\nages 8 to 17 the opportunity to greet and interact with many successful women\nin the aviation and aerospace fields. The program seeks to provide hands-on\nactivities, career inquiry, creativity through fun and engaging interactions.\nEach participant walks away from WOW with the inspiration to see themselves in\nthe aviation and aerospace fields, and with the resources to achieve such\ndreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are still limited spots available for youth to attend this free event.
