Ned\u2019s commitment to the betterment of aviation education,\nsafety practices, and his tireless efforts to share his knowledge with flight\ninstructors is commendable. He blends his passion for flying with his ability\nto communicate in many different settings and formats to demonstrate his\ndedication to flight training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ned contributes to NAFI, its programs, teams,\ncommunications, and community. A few of the areas Ned has helped NAFI include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- Presented at the NAFI Professional Development\nCenter<\/li>
- Presented for MentorLIVE<\/li>
- Volunteered on the Membership Engagement and\nRecruitment Committee<\/li>
- Developed, organized, and launched the ongoing\nMember Ambassador program designed for members to welcome new members to NAFI<\/li>
- Introduced Special Interest Groups to NAFI,\nonline small group discussions of special topics of interest to members<\/li>
- Hosts the monthly Rotor Instructor SIG<\/li>
- Presented in the NAFI Professional Development\nProgram<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
In addition to his volunteer efforts for NAFI, he is an\nactive volunteer in the East Central Ohio Pilots Association. He has also\npresented at the Helicopter Association International conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ned Parks’ aviation roots date back to his great uncle,\nOliver Parks, who started Parks Air College, the first certified aviation\nschool in the US in 1927. Ned flew UH-1 helicopters in the Army and has run\nseveral full-service FBOs. He holds ATP\/CFII certificates and is rated in both\nfixed and rotor-wing. Ned is a FAASTeam member with 4,800+ flight hours. He\nowns Aegis 360 Consulting, a global provider of staff development services,\nbusiness consulting, and strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As always, I am here to support NAFI and\nflight instruction,\u201d said Ned, He continued that NAFI President Paul Preidecker\nmade a statement during the breakfast that really hit home with me. He said,\n\u201cWhether there is a pilot shortage or not does not matter, what matters is\nquality instruction.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ned remarked, \u201cWe in NAFI must not forget that. No matter\nthe demand for flight instruction, we must stay laser-focused on quality\ninstruction. Thank you for this amazing honor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
