This bipartisan bill would also authorize $100\nmillion in grants for workforce training and education to prepare the next\ngeneration of workers in this field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/NC-Bridge-Inspection-2-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23112\" width=\"311\" height=\"188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NC-Bridge-Inspection-2-edit.jpg 600w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NC-Bridge-Inspection-2-edit-300x182.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 311px) 100vw, 311px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cUsing advanced technology for infrastructure safety\ninspections will improve and strengthen our bridges and railways,\u201d said\nBoozman. \u201cIn Arkansas, we\u2019ve invested in modernizing our capabilities,\nincluding utilizing drones and other emerging technologies. The DIIG Act\ncontinues to build on this momentum while also helping develop the workforce to\noperate these cutting-edge tools.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs we make historic investments in fixing and updating our\nnation\u2019s infrastructure, we can rely on the latest technology to identify\nphysical vulnerabilities that need to be fixed,\u201d said Rosen. \u201cThis bipartisan\nlegislation will help local governments invest in drones and skilled workers to\nensure America\u2019s existing infrastructure remains safe.\u201d&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis bill promotes the use of domestic drone technology to\ninspect and maintain our nation\u2019s vital infrastructure,\u201d said Blumenthal.\n\u201cThrough important grant programs, our workforce will be given the tools and\nskilled training necessary to keep our bridges, dams, and highways across the\ncountry safe. I\u2019m proud to join this legislation as we build on the\ngroundbreaking investments in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.\u201d&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drones have been used to help inspect infrastructure\nprojects and prevent catastrophes. Last year, drone footage helped reveal a\nsevere crack in the I-40 bridge connecting Arkansas and Tennessee, leading to\nthe bridge being shut down.
