Private aviation offers a unique,\ncustomer-focused perspective for new aviators to get a wide range of experience\nbeyond the flight deck, interacting with customers at every stage of their\njourney. Both Delta and Wheels Up pride themselves on exemplary customer\nservice and look for candidates who share this mindset. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe diverse type of flying operations and attentive\ncustomer service skills associated with Wheels Up\u2019s on-demand charter operation\nwill instill a foundation for Propel candidates to have a successful career\nahead at Delta,\u201d said Capt. Ashish Naran, a former corporate pilot. \u201cIt\u2019s all\nabout getting the job done right and safely for the customer, and this\npartnership with Wheels Up will set that strong foundation for this next\ngeneration of Delta pilots.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Delta is set to hire and train more than 2,400 pilots in\n2022. The Propel Program, which launched in 2018 to identify, select and\ndevelop the next generation of pilots, is one of the many pipelines Delta\nsupports in order to achieve that hiring goal. Delta was the first mainline\ncarrier to offer a pathway program and has already seen more than a dozen Propel\nparticipants graduate and earn their Delta wings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWheels Up and Delta are preeminent brands in the private\nand commercial aviation spaces respectively. We believe that working together\nwe can provide meaningful and exciting assignments for pilots at every stage of\ntheir careers. We collectively want to innovate in how we attract, retain and\ndevelop the very best pilots in the industry,\u201d said Stevens Saint-Rose, chief\npeople officer at Wheels Up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wheels Up, military and Delta Connection carriers are the\nthree current paths available to aspiring pilots aiming to join Delta.
