{"id":23026,"date":"2022-08-01T23:32:46","date_gmt":"2022-08-01T23:32:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=23026"},"modified":"2022-08-01T23:32:47","modified_gmt":"2022-08-01T23:32:47","slug":"daher-resumes-its-young-eagles-internship-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/aviation-education\/daher-resumes-its-young-eagles-internship-program\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Daher Resumes Its &#8216;Young Eagles&#8217; Internship Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After two years of interruption due to the pandemic, Daher\nAerospace company was happy to resume this year its internship program.\nInitiated 15 years ago this internship program in partnership with EAA offers again\nto two American students to live the adventure of their life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, the scholarship recipients were Lauren Meyer,\nfrom Murfreesboro, Tennessee, a student in engineering and computer science\nfrom the University of Tennessee, and Anthony Garza, from San Antonio, Texas,\nBachelor of Science in Aerospace engineering at Texas A&amp;M, University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both worked during five weeks in June and July at Daher\u2019s\nTarbes facility in France, near the Pyrenees mountains. Lauren Meyer was\nintegrated in the TBM Care team, to elaborate new services for customers, while\nAnthony Garza was tasked to digitalize the PT6 engine for the design office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon their return they participated during one week at EAA\nAirVenture Oshkosh 2022 with the Daher team. This internship is all inclusive,\nlodging and work experience was included. They also had a tour of Airbus\nfacility in Toulouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis opportunity is a one-of-a-kind experience for the\nrecipients,\u201d said Nicolas Chabbert, Senior Vice President of Daher Aircraft\nDivision and CEO of Daher Aircraft Inc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey spent time with our team in France, gaining expertise\nin their fields of interest \u2013 within our marketing and support departments. We\nhope the experience will make a difference in their future careers, while also\nbenefitting our company by working with the next-generation of aviation\nindustry decision-makers.\u201d He added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications for the 2023 internship will be announced on Daher website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.daher.com\/en\/candidate\/\">https:\/\/www.daher.com\/en\/candidate\/<\/a> this winter, and selected applicants will be announced at Sun\u2019N\u2019fun Aerospace Expo in April 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After two years of interruption due to the pandemic, Daher Aerospace company was happy to resume this year its internship program.
