Circuit Ruling on FAA Remote ID Rule"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The United States Court of Appeals, District of Columbia Circuit recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cadc.uscourts.gov\/internet\/opinions.nsf\/55807FB471B60BB08525888E0051AEA6\/$file\/21-1087-1956978.pdf\">issued an opinion<\/a> in the case of Tyler Brennan, et al v. Stephen Dickson, et al denying the petition for review of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)\u2019s Remote ID rule. On behalf of the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), President and CEO Brian Wynne issued the following statement on the Court\u2019s opinion, which cited AUVSI\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wiley.law\/assets\/htmldocuments\/Amicus-Brief-of-AUVSI_21-1087.pdf\">amicus curiae brief<\/a> in support of the rule: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNumerous industries are relying on drones for their\noperations, and significant industry growth is expected in the years ahead.\nAccordingly, the FAA issued a Remote ID rule that appropriately advances drone\nintegration in a way that increases safety for all airspace users. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By harmonizing the needs of commercial and law enforcement\nstakeholders, the rule supports scalable, secure, and sustainable commercial\ndrone operations. The final Remote ID Rule is absolutely necessary for the\ncontinued expansion of drone operations and the fulfillment of Congress\u2019s\nvision of an integrated airspace that brings significant benefits to the\nAmerican people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AUVSI commends the United States Court of Appeals for the\nDistrict of Columbia Circuit for upholding FAA\u2019s Remote ID rule.
