Photo: EAA<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WomenVenture Wednesday began with WAI\u2019s Connect Breakfast,\nattended by more than 400 enthusiastic participants, sponsored by Avemco,\nUnited Airlines, and the Virginia Department of Aviation and took place at the\nPaul H. Poberezny Conference Center (PHP Tent). The event featured Dr. Anita\nSengupta, aerospace engineer and Hydroplane Ltd. CEO and founder, and Emily\nHerron, aircraft owner and Madisonville Regional Airport manager in Kentucky.\nThe speakers shared their different aviation experiences and provided their\nadvice for the captivated audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI was honored to kick-off WomenVenture at the WAI Connect\nBreakfast with our members, GirlVenture attendees, mentors, and all our\nfriends,\u201d says Women in Aviation International CEO Allison McKay. \u201cOur\npowerhouse speakers with two diverse backgrounds, together with our passionate\ngroup of attendees made for an unforgettable experience that many WomenVenture\nparticipants consider the highlight of their week at Oshkosh.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now in its fifteenth year, WomenVenture, a week-long social\nand networking event for women during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, attracts hundreds\nof women who are part of the aviation community and enjoy getting together to\nbe inspired, to network, and to just plain have fun.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Photo above &#8211; The backdrop for the 2022 WomenVenture Group photo was the Boeing 777-200ER ecodemonstrator.
