Sincock Receives Top NATA Honor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) announced the recipient of its highest annual honor. The William A. \u201cBill\u201d Ong Memorial Award will be presented to aviation entrepreneur, Craig R. Sincock, owner, president and CEO of Avfuel. The award will be presented during a luncheon on November 3, held in conjunction with the NATA 2022 Aviation <a href=\"https:\/\/us-tdm-tso-15eb63ff4c6-1626e-16907d8fbcf.force.com\/nata\/s\/lt-event?id=a1Y8Z000008X09XUAS\">Business Conference in Miami<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Craig-Sincock-682x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22720\" width=\"286\" height=\"428\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Craig-Sincock-682x1024.png 682w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Craig-Sincock-200x300.png 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 286px) 100vw, 286px\" \/><figcaption><em>Craig R. Sincock<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Given in honor and memory of the association\u2019s co-founder\nand first president, the William A. \u201cBill\u201d Ong Memorial Award recognizes\nextraordinary achievement and extended meritorious service to the general\naviation industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCraig Sincock is a prominent aviation business leader,\nphilanthropist and visionary who has spent his entire career connecting people,\nbusinesses and cultures. It is a pleasure to honor his drive, leadership,\npassion and propensity for giving back with NATA\u2019s highest honor,\u201d stated NATA\nPresident and CEO Timothy Obitts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sincock acquired Avfuel Corporation in 1985. Under his\nleadership, the company has grown from a regional fuel supplier to its current\nposition as a leading independent global supplier of aviation fuel and\nservices. Avfuel currently serves more than 5,500 aviation customers at more\nthan 3,000 worldwide fueling locations, and supplies fuel and comprehensive\nservices to all six major aviation consumer groups: fixed-base operators\n(FBOs), corporate flight departments, airlines, helicopter operators, cargo\nhaulers and the military. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sincock accomplished this growth through a strategic mix of\nmore than 30 acquisitions (four of which were aviation divestitures from\npublicly traded energy companies), internal sales growth and marketing\nalliances. Today, Avfuel touches virtually every aspect of the aviation\nindustry with its innovative lineup of programs and solutions\u2014including\nindustry-leading sustainability programs\u2014and through various subsidiary\ncorporations, including Avtank, Avlease, Avsurance and Avplan. Sincock\ncontinues to focus on further international expansion and the next generation\nof aviation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The passion for aviation that led Sincock to purchase Avfuel\nis evident through his continued devotion to the company\u2019s success as well as\nthrough his advocacy efforts. Past positions he has held include seats on the\nPride Refining Inc. Board of Directors (PRF: NYSE), Duncan Aviation Board of\nAdvisors, and NBAA Board of Directors, along with serving as chairman of NBAA\u2019s\nAssociate Member Advisory Committee. He is a member of the World Presidents\u2019\nOrganization (WPO), an international organization fostering educational\ndevelopment and networking opportunities for company leaders. He has also been\nan active participant in leading aviation groups, including the National Air\nTransportation Association (NATA), the National Business Aviation Association\n(NBAA), the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), the Experimental\nAircraft Association (EAA), and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association\n(AOPA). Additionally, Sincock is a pilot with an ATP rating and frequently\npilots the company\u2019s Falcon 2000LXS and Cessna Citation XLS+.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sincock recently received the 2022 Kenn Ricci Lifetime\nAviation Entrepreneur Award at the 19th Annual Living Legends of Aviation\nAwards, during which he was also inducted into the Living Legends of Aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sincock graduated from the University of Michigan and\nresides in Ann Arbor with his wife, Sue.
