Richard Beach, Commander of the Wing.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Gagnon-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22386\" width=\"230\" height=\"311\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Gagnon-edit.jpg 500w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Gagnon-edit-222x300.jpg 222w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 230px) 100vw, 230px\" \/><figcaption><em>Captain Jennifer Gagnon<\/em><br><em> Photo Credit: C\/SSgt Jean Gagnon, Catamount Composite Squadron, Vermont Wing, Civil Air Patrol <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCapt Gagnon brings to the Civil Air Patrol an accomplished\ncareer in education, a clear commitment to Vermont and New England and a\nlife-long love of learning, which makes her an ideal fit for the leadership of\nthis growing command in our Wing,\u201d said Col Beach. \u201cVermont Wing, cadets and\nsenior members alike, is privileged to have Capt Gagnon as part of our\nleadership team.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Capt Gagnon is a 5th grade math and science teacher at Maple\nAvenue Elementary School in Claremont, NH, and first started working with the\nCivil Air Patrol as an Aerospace Education Member (AEM) in January 2020. AEM\nstatus can be accessed by any teacher, she noted; AEMs can enjoy many free\naerospace\/STEM educational opportunities in CAP, ranging from a variety of\ncurriculum materials and STEM Kits to participating in a teacher orientation\nflight aboard one of CAP\u2019s Cessna aircraft at a local airport. Capt Gagnon has\nbeen the squadron Aerospace Education Officer and Deputy Commander of Cadets\nsince joining CAP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Capt Gagnon brings four educational degrees to her new\ncommand: Post University\u2014Bachelor of Science in Equine Management; Vermont\nTechnical College \u2013Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology;\nSouthern NH University\u2014Bachelor of Arts in General Education with a\nconcentration in Marketing; and Southern NH University &#8212; Masters of Elementary\nEducation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn taking on my roles in Catamount Composite Squadron, my\ngoal is to promote not only lifelong learning but also elevation of the\nSquadron and shared experiences among our fellow Vermont Wing squadrons,\u201d Capt\nGagnon noted. \u201cI seek to increase the experiences of the cadets and foster\ntheir love of Civil Air Patrol, aerospace education, and community service.
