{"id":22357,"date":"2022-06-06T22:23:31","date_gmt":"2022-06-06T22:23:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=22357"},"modified":"2022-06-06T22:23:54","modified_gmt":"2022-06-06T22:23:54","slug":"nata-pledges-support-for-redtail-flight-academys-goal-to-diversify-the-sky","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/district-of-columbia\/nata-pledges-support-for-redtail-flight-academys-goal-to-diversify-the-sky\/%20","title":{"rendered":"NATA Pledges Support for RedTail Flight Academy\u2019s Goal to Diversify the Sky"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) pledged\nongoing support for the RedTail Flight Academy and its mission at the Academy\u2019s\ninaugural graduation on May 21, 2022, at New York Stewart International\nAirport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The RedTail Flight Academy is developing a pipeline of\ndiverse aviators to meet the increasing demand for U.S pilots and aviation\nprofessionals\u2014all while honoring the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen&#8217;s goal to\nproduce extraordinary aviators of color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In commemoration of the Academy\u2019s first graduating class,\nNATA Executive Vice President Ryan Waguespack announced the Association\u2019s\ncommitment to a long-term relationship contributing to the RedTail Flight\nAcademy Fund and promoting opportunities for the Academy and its students to\nengage with NATA members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NATA also encourages its members to consider donating to the\nAcademy and providing internships and other opportunities for RedTail\ncandidates to explore the business aviation industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNATA is honored to support the RedTail Flight Academy and\nits students through this annual pledge. The Academy is fostering the next\ngeneration of aviation advocates by providing a pathway for those who may have\nonce thought a career in aviation was only a dream. We honor the talent,\nspirit, and drive of these students and the role models who went before them,\u201d\nstated NATA Executive Vice President Ryan Waguespack. \u201cTogether, we will\ncontinue to build an open and innovative future for our next leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe pledged support from NATA and its members will go a\nlong way in helping the RedTail Flight Academy achieve our mission to recruit,\ndevelop, expose, and place diverse talent in the aviation industry,\u201d said\nretired Air Force Lt. Col. Glendon Fraser, Director of the RedTail Flight\nAcademy and Board President of the Lee A.
