View Smart Windows\nare a key component of MSO\u2019s expansion project, which aims to lower the\nairport\u2019s carbon footprint and establish MSO as Montana\u2019s flagship airport. The\nwindows use artificial intelligence to automatically adjust in response to\noutdoor conditions, providing continuous views of the surrounding Missoula\nValley and Northern Rockies while blocking heat and glare to optimize passenger\ncomfort and reduce energy consumption from lighting and HVAC by as much as 20%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMSO is the gateway to Western Montana, and we wanted the\nnew terminal to showcase the region\u2019s spectacular natural beauty,\u201d said the\nairport\u2019s Deputy Director Tim Damrow. \u201cView Smart Windows help us deliver a\ntruly state-of-the-art facility that is energy-efficient and enclosed in\nfloor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/view.com\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/research-brief-the-passenger-experience-CLT.pdf\">In a study<\/a> on natural light and the airport experience, passengers who boarded at gates with View Smart Windows were 68% more likely to report a higher satisfaction rate and rated the airport as 33% more modern, efficient, bright, and comfortable.
