Dedrone<\/a>, the market leader in smart airspace security, today announced the appointment of Balaji Tamirisa as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Daniel Anixt as General Counsel. In his new role, Tamirisa will oversee the continued expansion of Dedrone\u2019s suite of technologies, working to ensure Dedrone remains the number one solution for airspace security in the world. Daniel Anixt will manage all legal matters for Dedrone, including government and corporate affairs. Dedrone is undergoing a period of rapid growth as airspace security becomes critical amid the growing drone economy, predicted to reach 9.6 million in global consumer shipments<\/a> alone by 2023. The company offers best-in-class detection, identification, tracking and mitigation of Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) from over 65 commercial manufacturers and handcrafted drones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tamirisa has spent over two decades in engineering, program\nmanagement, and telecommunications. He most recently served as the VP, R&D\nat Itron, where he helped to grow the business significantly by launching new\nproducts and software for industrial IoT devices. He also spearheaded an\noverhaul in design, development, and testing cycles to ensure customer\ncommitments were met. Previously, he held positions at Synaptics as its\nDirector of Software Engineering; Freescale Semiconductor as the Director,\nWireless Access Division; and Coherent Logix as its Principal Architect.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anixt has spent nearly 20 years providing legal counsel and\nissue management across the telecommunications and logistics industries. Most\nrecently, he served as the Associate General Counsel and then Deputy General\nCounsel for China Telecom Americas (CTA), overseeing a team that handled CTA\u2019s\ntransactions, regulatory matters, and commercial disputes throughout the U.S.,\nCanada, and Central and South America. He has also held positions that include\nAssistant General Counsel at Verizon; US Legal Counsel, Vice President Mitel US\nHoldings, and Corporate Secretary at Mitel; and General Counsel for Right\nSourcing Solutions Ltd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDaniel, meanwhile, has the broad international legal\nexperience that Dedrone needs as institutions continue to realize how crucial\nairspace security is for safety in airports, live events and critical\ninfrastructure,\u201d continued Devarakonda. \u201cHis extensive understanding of\ncritical contract negotiations with governments and commercial entities will\nensure that Dedrone continues to effectively grow alongside the drone\neconomy.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
